Below is a translation and scan of the original letter provided by the Grandmaster of the Chow Gar system, Ip Shui, in response to another teacher, Henry Sue, claiming to be the recognised custodian of the Chow Gar system in Australia. Sifu Paul Brennan is the only person authorised to claim this honour. Mr Sue has falsely published these claims and continues to use them in the promotion of his Kung Fu schools throughout Queensland. As stated below, this is not the case:

"Hong Kong Chow's Family Praying Mantis, also known as Tung Kong Chow Gar Tong Long Kuun, head grader, Grandmaster Ip Shui makes notice that Henry Sue is an ex-student, who without authorisation made himself Australian Representative and custodian of my Master's system. This is truly ridiculous. He is not good enough. My family only identifies Paul Brennan as our Australian Representative of this system.
